SO CLOSE I CAN TASTE IT
why, thank you!
personal statement has become a huge mess of random blurbs and experiences.
here in the US we are celebrating thanksgiving so i thought i would write a little something. i am thankful for each and every one of you for visiting my site from far and wide and sticking by me on this journey of learning and self-discovery (i never thought i would reach more than 50 followers, let alone 844!!).

i am making progress on that personal statement for the night class scholarship. less than two weeks to get it done and submitted! ahh! i visited OTIS and i like it there but ACCD is still my 1st choice. i didn’t make it to the LCAD open house but i’ll probably visit in january.

in other news, today i went to the sanrio small gift show in santa monica. lots of awesome sanrio-inspired art!! check out the japanLA blog, my favorites are “hello topiary” by eric joyner and the neon piece by buff monster. there is a pop-up tour making it’s way to the east coast, as well as small gift miami. i highly recommend it if it’s in your area!
next month is going to awesome! not only is it the holiday season but also renegade handmade and uniqueLA are having their holiday events (on the same day!!). and did i mention that i am going to see JIMMY EAT WORLD? ridiculously excited :) :)
i have a tumblr for reblogs, photos, rants, art inspiration, funny pics, etc. jsyk.
where are you from?
i am visiting two more art schools. OTIS on saturday, LCAD on sunday.
i am also going to the meg and dia concert. fuck yes.
so the art school i am applying to has this night program that is open to the public. they are taught at the same difficulty as the degree programs and it would really help w/ building my portfolio. there is one class i really want to take called illustration techniques and concepts. it costs $720 for one class but good for me they have a scholarship program!! just have to write a personal statement and give them some samples of my work :)
